University of Otago Chancellor, Dr Royden Somerville QC, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor External Engagement, Professor Tony Ballantyne, warmly invite you and a guest to a reception in Invercargill.
We are delighted to announce our guest speaker: University of Otago Sesquicentennial Distinguished Professor Greg Cook, on the topic “Fighting back: new weapons in the battle against global warming and animal disease”. This presentation will cover our recent discoveries in the development of new classes of small molecules inhibitors to tackle major environmental issues of global warming and fighting disease in food production animals without the use of human antibiotics.
This is a wonderful occasion to share University of Otago memories and stories, and network with other local alumni.
