Artwork by Ruth Young
If you’ve got time on your hands over the summer, why not get out the camera and sketch book and have a go at creating some artwork for our upcoming 150th anniversary colouring book competition?
We’ll be launching the competition for the artwork on 25 February, with a closing date of 22 March, to enable it to be printed in time for the Queen’s Birthday weekend anniversary celebrations.
The artwork can be anything on campus or around Dunedin, and the competition is open to staff, students, alumni and residents of Otago.
As well being part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary, a study undertaken by the University of Otago Department of Psychology last year found that colouring-in may improve adult mental health. Further information on the study.
Up to 20 images will be selected for the book, with a prize of $100 each, plus the winning prize of $500 for the cover. Send your entries after 25 February to: cara.duffy@otago.ac.nz
