Bloomberg Trading Lab officially launched

In August we officially launched Te Taura Takata, the BNZ Bloomberg Markets Lab, with the help of special guests Deputy Prime Minister Hon Grant Robertson, CEO of BNZ Dan Huggins, Director of NZX Nigel Babbage and Kāti Huirapa Rūnaka ki Puketeraki Chair Matapura Ellison.
The Bloomberg Lab is one of the largest academic trading labs in Aotearoa, providing our students and faculty with access to real-time and historical financial market data, news, and analysis.

Spring Melbourne get together


Joint alumni co-ordinators in Melbourne, Trevor Moyle and Evelyn Looi organised and hosted a fabulous spring get together for alumni in Melbourne on 1 September. The event was a great follow up to the May event with the Vice-Chancellor and offered alumni an opportunity to meet with each other and strengthen the Otago connection.

London and Dublin Alumni Events

June and July 2022 saw the return to in-person alumni events in London and Dublin. After a break of nearly three years, it was fabulous to be able to introduce newly-appointed Vice-Chancellor, Professor David Murdoch to alumni and to once again provide an opportunity for the Otago spirit to flourish in the northern hemisphere.
