Research
The main focus of my work is the microtubule cytoskeleton and microtubule-based vesicle transport in healthy and diseased/injured neurons. My research relies on combining high-resolution live cell imaging and quantitative analysis of cytoskeletal and transport dynamics, using advance microscopic assays and tools to visualise and manipulate proteins within cells. I also use different biochemical methods to characterise protein-protein interactions (pull-down assays and mass spectrometry-based protein identification). I employ primary neuronal cultures or non-neuronal cells to image live-tissue.
