Research summaryMemory and Alzheimer's disease

Research

Memory loss arising from neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease is devastating both to the individual and to their loved ones, robbing the individual of many of his/her uniquely identifiable characteristics. Dr Ryan's interest is in how memories are formed and stored in the brain at the molecular level and how this may be altered in Alzheimer's disease.
