The AQ Spirit

Our community spirit is what makes us different from other Colleges.  From our friendly and supportive staff to the wonderful bunch of residents we have every year, this is a place you can truly call home. There's something for everyone; lots of sports, cultural and community events to complement your studies.

Make new friends

It is always daunting to go to a new place, make new friends and start a new life at University, but we understand this at Aquinas and we facilitate a warm, welcoming and inclusive community.

Academic success

Our academic results indicate that those who stay at Aquinas will improve their academic performance, regardless of whether you're a high achiever or not. Our state-of-the-art facilities and strong academic programmes will ensure you have everything you need for academic success.

Busy schedule of activities

The College organises a busy social calendar of events as well as providing academic support with tutorials and our academic mentoring programme.

Food

Brian Galvin, our Head Chef, received the distinguished award of University of Otago Chef of the Year 2014 and third place in both 2015 and 2017. Not only does he ensure we are the best fed College in Dunedin, but his team are extremely approachable – giving you a sense of home when you sit down to dine.

Helpful staff

The staff are available to help you with advice, look after you when you are sick and be available for support when needed.
