PhD student Priya Philem took out the first prize in the NZSBMB student poster competition at the combined Genetics Society of Australasia and New Zealand Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology conference held in Dunedin this week. The judges couldn't decide between the posters of Astra Heywood, Chun Shen Lim, and Joshua Gilligan, so they were awarded second equal placing.
