Research

My research interests focus on protein expression and RNA biology. I completed my PhD studying the roles of introns under the supervision of Dr Chris Brown in the Department of Biochemistry. I have joined Dr Paul Gardner's group recently to create smart software that designs DNA sequences with synonymous codon changes in order to improve protein expression of a gene of interest. This project is funded by an MBIE Smart Idea.
