    Overview

    Extended period of clinical practice to demonstrate competency for entry to registered nurse practice.

    Students will consolidate learning across all previous papers in the degree and advance their nursing practice through an extended, intense period of clinical practice. Successful completion of this paper will require demonstration of competence against all the New Zealand Nursing Council Registered Nurses competencies and meeting the Council requirements for completion of a two-year, graduate-entry master's programme.

    An extended period of clinical practice (360 hours) under the guidance of a preceptor nurse to enable the student to demonstrate competency for entry to registered nurse practice.
