About

Yuta is from Yokohama, Japan, and has completed his BSc majoring in Plant Biotechnology in 2017 at the University of Otago. His interest is how plant growth and development could be influenced by exposure to nano-related materials. “Nanotechnology has a huge potential of wide range of commercial products. Since history of nanotechnology is not a long, more research would be required. I would like to be a part of the history. I ultimately would like to clarify the long- and short-term effects of nano-related materials to plants.”

Project Outline

Understanding how plant growth and development could be influenced by exposure to carbon nanotubes and salinity stresses.
