Otago Business School graduates can be found all around the world working in a huge variety of roles across all sectors. Current and prospective students love to hear where an Otago Business School qualification can lead. Why not tell us your story?
We have a variety of ways outlined below that we tell these stories and are always looking for graduates to profile. If you would like to share your experiences of your time at Otago and what you are doing since graduating then we’d love to hear from you all.
Alumnews – The Business School’s alumni newsletter is eager to share your story with your fellow graduates.
Business at Otago – The Business School publishes its own prospectus solely focused on business qualifications. We profile a graduate from each major.
Careers in Business - The next Step – This booklet takes a snapshot of graduate careers for each of the BCom majors offered at Otago. It tells the short story of what is involved in that particular role.
Guest Speakers – Hear it from the horse’s mouth. We have a variety of guest speaking opportunities where you can speak directly to current staff and students. These provide great networking, Q&A, and recruitment opportunities.
Otago Magazine - The University's main communication with its graduates is through the Otago Magazine (available in print and online). Unlike the Business School's Alumnews, the Magazine goes to all graduates regardless of the degree they completed. Your story may not only be of interest to business graduates but to many others within the wider University graduate community.
Undergraduate or postgraduate prospectus – Each year the University’s central Marketing and Communications Division publishes prospectus targeted at future students. These are updated each year and profiles are also uploaded to our website.
Video profiles – Video profiles appeal to all ages and have multiple uses from classroom presentations through to being viewed on our Youtube channel. A ‘selfie’ style profile about your experiences at Otago/what you are doing now, or a more formal recording done on-campus are just two of the options.
