The University of Otago, together with the Otago Polytechnic, Enterprise Dunedin, the Economic Development Unit of Dunedin City Council and SIGNAL ICT Grad School, co-hosted Dunedin Techweek TEXpo at the Otago Business School on Saturday 25 May 2019.

Celebrating and supporting technology in Dunedin, Techweek TEXpo was a free, collaborative, cross campus showcase of innovative tech research, products and industries. The event provided an opportunity for Dunedin's emerging and established software and technology businesses to showcase alongside the University and Polytechnic staff and student technology research, development and design.

This year Holger Regenbrecht, Jonny Collins and Noel Park from Information Science participated, together with Cheryl Adams from Animation Research Limited (ARL). They exhibited Virtual Reality demos and as a joint project showed a VR in Prison prototype. Information Science demonstrated their ART-VR system for stroke rehabilitation while ARL showed their MRI Exposure System for children.
