Otago Business School Internship Key Dates

To ensure employers get the best possible access to the pool of Otago Business School students interested in gaining an internship the programme follows the timeline below:

January onwards
Internship Manager engages with previous, current and prospective employers throughout the year
Early JanuaryPromotion of the Internship Programme to second year Business School students begins
AprilStudents apply for the Internship Programme
MayStudent applications close
Student interviews for the Internship Programme
July Internship roles advertised to prospective interns
Job descriptions for internship roles available
July - AugustEmployability Programme for approved students (employers invited to participate)
SeptemberApproved students apply to employers for internship roles
Employer recruitment process (selection and interviews) begins
Employer interviews (last two weeks)
Early OctoberFixed-term employment contract between student and employer completed and signed in the first week of October
Mid-October – mid-NovemberExams
Mid-November onwardsSuccessful students begin internship with employer
