The Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce (PGDipCom) is a one-year programme comprised of coursework and may include a dissertation. It is designed to enhance your undergraduate degree by providing an advanced level of understanding, or prepare you for postgraduate research programmes.
It is also a stepping stone to the Master of Commerce, Master of Business, Master of Tourism degrees, allowing you to advance to masters study on completion of your programme.

Programme Structure
The PGDipCom programme normally takes a full-time student two semesters (one academic year) to complete. You can also complete the programme part-time. You are required to complete 144 points of 400-level coursework, with specific paper requirements depending on their major.
A PGDipCom may be awarded Distinction or Credit.

Admission to the Programme
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in the subject concerned, and have achieved appropriate grades. Students are required to complete the
PGDipCom application form online.
Students are also required to enrol at the University of Otago.
