Conor is Director of the Otago Business School’s Master of Entrepreneurship.

Conor teaches strategic management and innovation at an introductory and undergraduate level as well as at an advanced level to postgraduate and executive students.

Preferred teaching methods focus on case discussions, simulated games, debates and live case projects. Conor’s research interests broadly focus on academic entrepreneurship, University-Industry engagement and the strategies underpinning the commercialisation of university research.

In New Zealand, Conor is a member of the “Building New Zealand’s Innovation Capacity” research team funded with the National Science Challenge: Science for Technological Innovation.

Dr David BandDr David Band

David is an experienced international businessman with expertise in the areas of corporate governance, talent management, account penetration and commercialisation of innovation.

He has an extensive history of leadership and consultancy across a wide range of sectors, including technology, professional services, agribusiness and life sciences, as well as the public and not-for-profit sectors. He is currently Independent Chairman of AbacusBio, Director of Pacific Edge Limited and Kauri Australia, and Chairman of PEDUSA.

David is Course Leader for ENTR421 Technology and Entrepreneurship, an optional paper for the Master of Entrepreneurship programme.

Dr Helen RobertsDr Helen Roberts

Helen is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accountancy & Finance and has an active interest in research related to the relationship between CEO compensation, firm performance and corporate governance.

Dr Anna CarrAssociate Professor Anna Carr

Anna works in the Department of Tourism. Prior to her academic career, she was owner-operator of two adventure tourism businesses, had several years’ experience working for The Helicopter Line and over a decade working in various NZ national parks for the Departments of Conservation and Lands and Survey.

Dr Sara WaltonDr Sara Walton

Sara is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management, with expertise in the area of business, sustainability and the natural environment. Her research includes examining ecopreneurial businesses in New Zealand, social enterprise and for-benefit organisations and business responses to climate change.
