Communication at Carrington College

Communal phones

Each floor or house is also equipped with telephone access. You will need your own calling card for toll calls.

Faxes

Faxes can be sent and received from reception during office hours, 9am - 5pm.

College notices

College notices are delivered on TV monitors found in the dining room, posted on Blackboard and on whiteboards and notice boards throughout the college. Please keep checking these regularly.

Posting mail

Mail being sent internally or externally from the University may be handed in to reception for collection by the mail room staff. Please note that external mail (mail to be sent outside of the University) must already have the correct postage.

Receiving mail

All mail sent to you must include your name in the address. Resident mailboxes (for receiving mail) are found outside reception.

You will receive mail sent to you quicker if it is addressed to:

Mail sent using the University’s address may be delayed slightly as it must pass through the University’s mail system before being delivered to Carrington.

Parcels

Any parcels delivered to residents will be held at reception and a note placed in your mail slot advising a parcel is held for you to pick up.
