Here at Carrington, we have an extensive network of well-trained and highly experienced support staff. Below are just a few of the people who offer support for Carrington residents.
The House Tutors are our valued student-staff team. They live on site and are employed to you help navigate your way through your first year at the University of Otago. Each Flouse is assigned a House Tutor (HT), who is somewhat like an older sibling. The term House Tutor is synonymous with the term "Sub-Warden" that is used more broadly across the Colleges at the University of Otago.
Your HT will be your first port of call for any little (or sometimes big) issue you might need help with – they are a wealth of knowledge about the inner workings of the University and what it takes to succeed at Otago. They are great people to have a chat with! They play a key role in pastoral care, supervising the College, and organising events for students.
Our Senior Management team has a high-level of interaction with students – we’re always keen for a chat! If there’s something we can do to help improve your experience, or if you have any questions or concerns, you are always welcome to pop in.
