Being a chaplain to students and staff here at Otago is both a privilege and a delight.

I have been in Catholic Chaplaincy here at Otago for about 5 years now and I love this diverse and inspiring ministry.

As a chaplain I believe in helping to build community, creating opportunities for service, and creating environment for prayer. We all need each other and by getting to know others on the journey, we are blessed. Listening to the called to give to others out of our own blessings, we serve out of a spirit of generosity. And finally, we can do none of this without our loving God who first loves us so deeply. By finding opportunities to pray we are graced by the energy of God, which enables us live out our lives in beautiful ways.

I am also passionate about people knowing God more fully through knowing themselves better. So meeting with people for personal growth and faith formation is part of what I do.

I am indeed blessed and enriched by this ministry, by my colleagues I share it with, and the people I encounter along the way.
