3.1 Internal extended investigation

We host classes for 1 or 2 days so that you can come and do your 3.1 investigations. We provide the glassware, some of the chemicals and our friendly help and expertise. We can also give you access to instruments so that you can do something other than titrations to work out how much of something is in something else.

Syllabus-related experiments and department tours

We can host you for an hour or a day to do some experiments related to your class work, or just have a look around the chemistry department and see what we do.

High School Chemistry Quiz Night

Each year we host a quiz night for teams of Year 12 and 13 chemistry students in Otago and Southland Schools. The quiz is normally in the last week of Term 3 and is a mix of chemistry questions and other random general knowledge questions.

School Science is a website with science resources for ages 5-19, teachers resources, interactive stuff and free downloads of posters

CLEAPPS

CLEAPPS is an advisory service in the UK that supports science and technology in school. It carries materials for technicians, teachers, school governors etc and has a support service to answer questions. There is a fee to join but we are currently negotiating a discount for school that join through us. If you are interested send an email and we'll provide more details.
