Ibrahim is currently undertaking specialist training in General Practice. During his undergraduate medical training at the University of Otago, Ibrahim became involved in diabetes and diabetic foot disease research under the supervision of Associate Professor Kirsten Coppell. He has since been involved in medical education research and related activities with a particular focus on research involvement during undergraduate medical training. Ibrahim is actively involved in medical student teaching.
