Catherine is a New Zealand registered dietitian, lecturer in the Department of Human Nutrition, Master of Dietetics training programme and research fellow in the Department of Medicine, University of Otago Christchurch.

Catherine has worked as a clinical dietitian in New Zealand and abroad for more than 15 years. Her PhD research was on nutritional therapy for active adult Crohn’s disease and she completed postdoctoral research on nutrition screening and dietary management of inflammatory bowel disease at King’s College London, United Kingdom.

Catherine has a particular research interest in the nutritional and dietary management of gastrointestinal disorders, in particular inflammatory bowel disease.
