Jun Li, recipient of the University of Otago's Health Sciences Division Travel Award.
PhD candidate, Jun Li, is winging his way to Brisbane in October this year, thanks to support from the University of Otago's Health Sciences Travel Award.
He will be there to present an abstract at two bioengineering conferences - the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (Asia-Pacific Chapter) conference, and the 7th Asian Biomaterials Congress.
Li will be presenting information he's researched about the development of new bone implants that have both bone regeneration and infection inhibition capabilities.
He has conducted his research as part of the Christchurch Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering (CReaTE) research group, which is attached to the University's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Medicine. Jun Li is also affiliated with the Centre for Bioengineering and Nanomedicine.
