Research interests

Nikki's research interests are wide ranging and include:

  • Paediatric hip - Nikki is involved with international databases and multi-centre clinical trials with a goal of improving and streamlining treatment protocols, as well as improving outcomes in children with hip dysplasia and other paediatric hip conditions
  • Paediatric trauma, particularly predictive factors for growth-arrest following physeal fractures in children
  • Culture in surgery, including promoting diversity and cultural change
  • Surgical education and the role of simulation in improving training while maintaining safe and healthy work practices
