Heath RyburnPathology and Biomedical Science summer student Heath Ryburn was awarded the Best Laboratory Presentation at the UOC Summer Studentship Final Presentations on Friday.

Heath has spent the last 10 weeks working in the Centre for Free Radical Research on a project investigating mycobacterial resistance to neutrophil oxidants. He was supervised by Professor Mark Hampton.

The Department of Pathology and Biomedical Science hosted a total of 13 students for the 2018-19 programme.
