PhD candidate Xihua Lian from the Inflammation Research Group has received the 2021 Professor Sandy Smith Memorial Scholarship.
Xihua receives $10,000 as a grant-in-aid for her PhD research project on the application of MARS Spectral CT in diagnosing invasive aspergillosis.
She is one of two students to receive the scholarship this year from the Dunedin Basical Medical Sciences Course.
