Pathology Vertical Module teaching

Te Tari Mātai Tukumate, Mātai Hauora Koiora – whakaako pae tahi

The Pathology Vertical Module runs over two years for fourth and fifth year MB ChB students based at the University of Otago, Christchurch.

The programme comprises of small and large group tutorials and lectures on a Thursday afternoon based around the major subspecialties of pathology - anatomical pathology, biochemistry, haematology and microbiology.

More than 50 Canterbury District Health Board staff and several from private practice contribute to teaching in the Pathology Vertical Module. Many of these staff act as consultants to research projects, ensuring clinical relevance and increasing collaboration between science and medicine.

We have an active student resource on MedMoodle.
