The Department convenes several meetings and workshops over the year to provide an opportunity for psychological medicine professionals to get together and share information.
Mood Disorder Workshop
Date: Thursday 16 and Friday 17 May, 8.30 to 5pm (both days)
This two-day workshop follows on from similar workshops in 2016 and 2017 designed for Consultant Psychiatrists or Senior Psychiatric Registrars. We will extend knowledge and themes from the previous workshops while still providing a stand-alone educational package. We will examine all aspects of the clinical psychiatric management of mood disorders.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy Workshop

This workshop provides the theory background of IPT as well as the techniques and process. It also covers the similarities and differences between IPT and CBT for depression.

This 2 day workshop will examine all aspects of the clinical management of anxiety disorders (including PTSD and OCD) and depression.
