Associate Professor Tim Woodfield's CReaTE team edges closer to printing human joint replacements. They have successfully printed tiny 3D scaffolds containing arrays of cell clusters. It is hoped that these scaffolds will grow into customised pieces of cartilage for use in joint replacement surgery.
