Library resources

The library provides a wide range of print and online resources.

While visiting the library, those holding the appropriate membership may access the databases free of charge.

Databases currently available include Medline, CINAHL, Embase, Ovid Nursing, PsychInfo and AMED (Allied Health). Ask for a leaflet on the database in which you are interested.

Keeping up to date in your topic

Struggling to keep up to date? Library reference staff can assist you to set up and manage automatic updates from online journals and databases:

  • Emailed contents pages from those journals you would love to have, but can't afford to purchase.
  • RSS Feeds from your favourite journals and websites
  • Automatic updates of current articles from relevant databases on any topic. For information on how to set up Auto Alerts on Ovid databases press here.

Research for clinical needs

The library's experienced reference staff can also undertake research on behalf of members and evidence based medicine concepts can to be applied to your search topic if required.
