Rae has 30 years nursing experience working in hospitals in the UK, Israel and NZ (University of Otago and Cancer Society of NZ).

  • Multiple lectures to staff at Christchurch Public Hospital and large private companies on health and cancer prevention

Research

  • Participation with data discovery and entry for an International study on T4 Rectal Carcinomas (Dept. Surgery, University of Otago, Christchurch)
  • A study looking at the implementation of a community cancer nurse in the Christchurch region funded by the Ministry of Health
  • A three part study assessing the effectiveness of the Cancer-Connect Service of the Cancer Society of NZ. Funded by the Cancer Society of NZ
  • PhD on ‘Being and Becoming an Exemplary Nurse’
  • Development of an assessment tool to assess radiation induced skin reactions (RISRAS)
