About Kasey Tawhara (Ngati Raukawa ki te tonga, Ngati Porou)
Kasey is currently a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Rotorua Hospital. She is a medical graduate of the University of Otago.
Kasey completed a summer studentship with MIHI - Exploring attitudes of Maori towards genetic research. She also developed an online learning module for Christchurch and Wellington 5th year medical students that integrates clinical and cultural curricula.
Kasey is a Clinical Lecturer at MIHI and contributes to the postgraduate course MIHI 501 RANZCOG
