Overview

This scholarship is for a Māori doctoral student to undertake full-time study related to the EDGI project.

The EDGI study is an international research collaboration aiming to recruit the largest sample to date of those with eating disorders to complete an in-depth online survey (about eating disorder symptoms, comorbid psychiatric conditions and quality of life) and to relate this to genetic analyses to develop a deeper understanding of psychiatry through genomics. We are committed to building research workforce capacity for Māori.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in research related to eating disorders and /or human genetics, who:

  • is of Māori descent;
  • enjoys and/or is interested in learning about collaborative science, big data, clinical, cultural or related aspects of eating disorders.
