Overview
A Postgraduate Diploma comprising 120 points designed for health professionals working in the field of mental health.
Requirements
Candidates for the PGDipHealSc (Interpersonal Psychotherapy) must
- be a graduate or possess an appropriate health professional qualification requiring at least three years' full-time tertiary study
- have experience of or be currently working in the relevant field of health care
Structure of the PGDipHealSc (Interpersonal Psychotherapy)
[for candidates studying through the University of Otago, Christchurch, School of Medicine and Health Sciences]
120 points comprising:
1. One or both of the following (30 points or 60 points):
- PSME 425 - Introduction to Interpersonal Psychotherapy (30 points)
- PSME 426 - Advanced Applications of Interpersonal Psychotherapy (30 points)
2. Compulsory paper (60 points):
- PSME 427 - Interpersonal Psychotherapy (60 points)
and / or
3. Other approved paper(s) to the value of 30 points
Note: Students hoping to advance to the Masters programme by thesis are advised to include research methods paper(s) to the value of 30 points in their Diploma programme. Examples include:
