I received my BSc (Hons) and PhD in Computer Science and MSc in Information Science from the University of Otago, and completed my studies in 2017. Between degrees I worked for local companies and other University departments providing Linux server administration and software development. I was actively involved as a lab demonstrator while working on the degrees. Since the beginning of this year (2018) I took up a lectureship in the Computer Science Department.
My PhD research focused on using the strength of radio signals to estimate the location of a person indoors without the support of GPS. Currently I’m involved with teaching COSC430 (Advanced Databases), COSC326 (Effective Programming), and COSC301 (Network Management). Broadly my research interests encompass systems, distributed computing, operating systems, networking, and systems administration.
