    Learning aims and objectives of the paper:
    • To grasp the concepts and gain an appreciation of sustainability and sustainable development, in relation to business
    • To consider the key current environmental issues and future possibilities
    • To explore the legal, institutional, global and national contexts of sustainability
    • To be able to measure the sustainability of current practice through TBL reporting and carbon and ecological foot printing
    • To consider how business is currently 'doing' sustainability and evaluate what that means
    • To evaluate how participants can bring about more sustainable operations in their own lives and organisations
    • To examine one's own leadership style through the lens of contemporary leadership theories
    • To explore how one's behaviour affects others
    • To align appropriate behaviours to achieve strategic actions through others
