An introduction to the principles and practice of education history, with a comparative focus on New Zealand and other Western contexts informed by social, cultural, gender and transnational histories.
This paper focuses on the development of education in New Zealand and compares this
with education in its wider Western setting. These contexts will be set within wider
trends, issues and methods of historical scholarship.
