    Overview

Unpacks fundamental concepts for generating and implementing innovative ideas in new and existing ventures, imparting essential knowledge about entrepreneurial skillset’s global economic significance.

This paper will unpack fundamental concepts for generating and implementing novel, useful ideas within new and existing ventures. Individuals, teams, and firms are pursuing entrepreneurship in increasing numbers with the hope of becoming their own boss, achieving financial rewards, scratching their own "itch", and creating products and services to enhance peoples' lives.

MANT 303 facilitates an in-depth understanding of the two fundamental dimensions of entrepreneurship: opportunity identification and opportunity execution. The paper is an introductory course intended to provide students with knowledge of entrepreneurship and the vital role played by entrepreneurs in the global economy. To achieve this, this paper focuses on the creation of new ventures, alongside the development of skills necessary for success in an entrepreneurial venture and factors associated with new venture success.

Entrepreneurship can be both a science and a practice, and this is reflected in the paper's dual emphasis. You will be constantly challenged to apply theory within real-world settings through exemplar cases, learning from media sources, development of a new business opportunity, teamwork, and individual study. The paper may appeal to students who wish to launch their own venture or pursue entrepreneurship within an existing firm.

It will also be valuable to those seeking work within an existing start-up, venture capital firm, or professional consultancy. Topic areas include market analysis, business models and planning, customer, competitors and business concept analysis and testing, raising capital, and social entrepreneurship.
