- Paper Structure
- This paper is based entirely on self-directed learning and lacks lectures or tutorials.
Students prepare oral presentations and a literature review based on their research
project in MICR 480 or MICR 495. Students also sit a 3-hour 'interpretive' exam in
which they read a research publication in the area of bacteriology, virology or immunology.
They then write titles and abstracts and answer questions related to this publication.
Assessment:- Two short (15-minute) talks on the rationale for your research project and progress made on your project: 20%
- Research-project-related essay (critical review of relevant literature): 40%
- Interpretive exam: 30%
- Laboratory notebook (pass/fail): 10%
