    Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this paper will:

    • Critically search for and evaluate emerging genomic technologies and applications relevant to health in New Zealand and global contexts
    • Critically analyse research, understand research processes and apply research skills to new situations
    • Articulate complex genomic concepts and their relevance to clinical practice and/or health care delivery (by means of oral presentation, academic writing, formal and informal discussions/blogs, and online communication)
    • Evaluate, identify and discuss future opportunities and challenges associated with genomics in their specific profession/discipline, and see how this specialised knowledge can be applied to their practice
