- Paper Structure
- This paper is arranged around three main themes:
- The first theme examines historical and theoretical understandings about eating disorders
- Following this, the course content moves to examine some of the basic assessment and treatment concepts
- The final part of the paper discusses special populations and issues
- Teaching Arrangements
- Four 2-day block workshops. Attendance at all workshops is compulsory.
- There are no official prescribed texts for this paper. A variety of general texts pertaining to eating disorders can be located in the Canterbury Medical Library. Required readings will be supplied directly to the class. The journals "European Eating Disorders Review" and "International Journal of Eating Disorders" are particularly relevant and are available as ejournals through the University website.
