SENG301 Software Project Management

Aspects of software project management including software requirements specification, software life-cycle models, software project scheduling, and risk management. Other topics include teamwork, software testing, and software configuration management.

Software acquisition or development is now pervasive across almost all industries, so the skills for organising, managing and leading software project teams are crucial for success and in wide demand both here and abroad. In addition to the coverage of the above topics, the paper includes a research component where the students explore the issues involved in a particular project management topic and also work on a novel project in a group that involves project management skills in developing and managing a project.
