New avenues for leukaemia research

Wednesday 1 April 2015 4:00pm

The Centre for Translational Cancer Research welcomes researchers investigating new avenues in leukaemia research.

DNA organisation in the cancer cell

Associate Professor Julia Horsfield and her team are studying DNA organisation in the cell nucleus.

They are particularly interested in the protein cohesin. Up to 30% of myloid leukaemias are cohesin deficient suggesting a potential avenue for drug development.
