The Cumberland Catering team is headed by Dylan Henry, who has won numerous awards for his culinary abilities, including, over the last 10 years, multiple first placings in the University of Otago Residential College Chef of the Year competition!

The catering team spend a huge amount of effort and time making the food at Cumberland what you want it - nutritious, healthy, filling - and most of all - TASTY!

They're always keen to hear from you about the food and try out new things.

Breakfast

In the mornings you'll find continental style breakfasts to kick start your day.

Lunch

Here you'll find a great selection of food including a range of salads and other healthy foods and options to make your own toasted sandwiches.

Packed lunches can be made at breakfast time (Monday - Friday) for those who won't be here over lunchtime.

Dinner

In the evenings there are multiple meat options, vegetarian and a range of veges and salads.

Breads, fruits, tea, salads, coffee and hot chocolate are available with each meal and a dessert to tempt the sweet palate is served most evenings with dinner.

Late meals

Got a late lecture or a sports practice? Late meals are available upon request.

Special dietary requirements

Got a particular dietary requirement? Vegetarian and Halal food is always available and the catering team are able to cater for most dietary requirements by prior arrangement (gluten free, dairy free etc). Feel free to contact us and talk more about your needs.

Special dinners

As part of the social programme at Cumberland we have a number of Formal and "Theme" dinners throughout the year that are awesome fun.
