Residential Assistants (RAs) are an an important part of the team at Cumberland. They are senior students who have experience of residential life and University and are able to help first year residents with many of the issues they face, having been there before themselves.

RAs are the first-port-of call for all pastoral care matters and if they can't help with the issue you are facing they will be able to point you in the right direction. There is one RA on each floor and while they take primary responsibility for that group of residents by organising events, checking in with residents, giving them academic support, RAs also have a duty slot in the week during evenings or weekends when they will be at the front desk and manage after hours issues under the direction of a senior staff member.

All RAs have current First Aid and Fire Warden Certification.
