Marc Thompson

two men who never met before compare notes

on a time when the walleye
ran big in Red Lake,
when deer roamed
the sundown streets
of Bemidji, before

the small green room
in the hospital
where heavy dark clouds
push silently
against the windows.






Marc Thompson lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. When he's not taking care of his kid or writing poems he maintains websites for small non-profit organizations. He is the author of two chapbooks: Ordinary Time (Laughing Gull Press), and Oklahoma Heat (Red Moon Press). He has an MFA from Hamline University in St Paul, Minnesota.
