Ahila Sambamoorthy is currently completing her PhD thesis on Janet Frame's writing, considering it in the light of the "fantastic" tradition. She completed her M.A. thesis on Virginia Woolf in 1992, and has spent a few years teaching English Literature at undergraduate and pre-university levels.
