"mothfall"

on the way to the moon
a moth
     pauses

by the open window
a light is burning
                    where

the sleeping cat
stretches one paw

                    this glass
imprisons every sky
hurrying out to sea

leaves turn
from an intensity of green
to brown 
          moths
               clinging
to the branches
