Dr Vincent Bennani holds an Aesthetic Dentistry Clinic every Friday.

Behind every tooth, there is a person – that is the principle that guides Dr Vincent Bennani, a Specialist Dentist in Prosthodontics and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry.

For the past three years, Dr Bennani has been helping people with their aesthetic dentistry needs at his regular weekly Aesthetic Dentistry Clinic in the Faculty of Dentistry.

The clinic, which will be held most Fridays in 2015, is devoted to aesthetic dental treatment - ranging from simple to more extensive smile reconstruction, including teeth whitening, direct composite restorations, porcelain laminate veneers, and all types of aesthetic crowns. The clinic operates in conjunction with the other general and specialist clinics within the Faculty of Dentistry so that each person achieves the best possible aesthetic and functional treatment outcome.

Since the clinic began, Dr Bennani has helped people overcome aesthetic problems that some have felt only tooth extraction, including in one case extracting every tooth from the mouth, would solve.

“One young woman we saw last year didn't realise she could have veneers – to see her now, it has changed her life,” he says.

Postgraduate students that Dr Bennani supervises also get valuable experience learning the principles and techniques of aesthetic dentistry.

Trained in France and the United States, Dr Bennani has been with the University for the past eight years, but has specialised in aesthetic dentistry for more than 20 years.
