    Learning Outcomes

    Students who successfully complete this paper will:

    • Understand the structure and function of the craniofacial complex and its components.
    • Understand the interaction of the tooth with its environment in health and disease, including the microbial ecology of the oral cavity and the role of plaque and saliva in oral health and disease (e.g. dental caries)
    • Understand the principles of applied clinical anatomy.
