Two years ago Swanson Primary School participated in the Play study. Pupils were allowed to climb trees, skateboard, bike and play bullrush in the school grounds.
Associate Professor Rachael Taylor, Principal Investigator of the Play study, and school principal Bruce McLachlan discussed the free play concept, and findings, in a recent Radio New Zealand National interview.
